Artists’ Collecting Society (ACS) was formally established as a collecting society in June 2006 to collect Artist’s Resale Right (Droit de Suite) on behalf of artists in the UK.
Artist’s Resale Right provides artists with a royalty payment every time their work is re sold by a professional art trader for a price which exceeds €1,000 or £680.
This royalty will be collected from you each time you sell a work of art by an artist of an eligible nationality, (click here to see eligible nationalities) subsequent to the first transfer of ownership of the work from its creator.
The Artist’s Resale Right amount payable on the resale of each eligible work is calculated as a percentage of the resale price as follows:

| From 50,000.01 to 200,000 | 3.00% |
| From 200,000.01 to 350,000 | 1.00% |
| From 350,000.01 to 500,000 | 0.50% |
| Over 500,000 | 0.25% |

The UK Regulations dictate that Artist’s Resale Right must be administered by a collecting society of the artist’s choice. If any of the artists you represent are currently not registered with a collecting society, please encourage them to visit this site or contact us for more information.
The UK Regulations declare that professional art traders must provide information regarding the resale of works within a time frame of 90 days from the date of receipt of an ‘information request’ from a collecting society.
ACS will be asking you to provide the following information about each sale, to aid us in calculating the amount of Artist’s Resale Right due and in distributing the royalty to artists.
